“Dear friends, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born again because of what God has done. That person knows God.”
1 John 4:7
We love because God first loved us and love is a big part of who we are and what we do. Whether it is a simple hug during the Sharing of the Peace (ask Pastor Laura why it takes her so long!), lending a hand during Easter breakfast, church decorating, or Food Pantry; love is there. It might be the sharing of some personal time and prayer with those in the hospital or at home and love is there. Love is there in a touch, hug or handshake. Simply put, love is the root of WHAT and WHY we do.
It’s not only our love we share; more importantly, it’s Christ’s and it’s an integral part of daily life at Holy Communion and within our worship, fellowship, and social time. Christ’s love abounds in us and we in his love.
